The Witterings

Product Code: SC101TW Collection Tag
With a history stretching back over a thousand years, The Witterings have long been a cherished part of the Sussex coastline. First recorded in the 7th century as part of a land grant to Bishop Wilfrid, this historic settlement has stood the test of time, shaped by its coastal surroundings and deep-rooted heritage. At the time of Edward the Confessor, The Witterings and nearby Sidlesham were valued as 36 hides, a testament to their importance in early England. Inspired by the beauty of this coastal region, The Witterings Oak reflects a sense of natural simplicity and quiet sophistication. Crafted from European Oak with an engineered composition, each plank is sanded to perfection, allowing the raw elegance of the wood to take centre stage. The UV-cured oil finish enhances its organic charm, preserving the delicate grain while ensuring durability and longevity. With its light, airy tones and effortless refinement, The Witterings Oak brings the essence of coastal heritage and natural beauty into any space—perfect for those who seek a floor that is as enduring as its history.
