Climping Dunes

Product Code: SC104CD Collection Tag

Where land meets sea on the West Sussex coast, the Climping Dunes rise and fall with the rhythm of the tides, shaped by centuries of wind, water, and time. This Site of Special Scientific Interest is home to rare vegetated shingle and the haunting story of Atherington, a medieval village lost to the encroaching sea. Today, it remains a place of quiet beauty and wild resilience, a natural archive of the ever-changing English shoreline.

Climping Dunes Oak draws its inspiration from this unique coastal landscape subtle, weathered, and enduring. Crafted from the finest European Oak, this floor features a sanded surface that gently smooths the grain, revealing the wood’s natural complexity. Finished with a UV-cured oil, it offers a durable, low-sheen patina that enhances both texture and tone.

Available in an exceptional range of sizes including planks up to 390 mm wide and lengths reaching 3 metres, as well as herringbone and chevron formats, Climping Dunes Oak is offered in Select through to Rustic B grades. It’s a floor made for those who appreciate refined simplicity, where craftsmanship meets natural character, and where every detail whispers of Sussex’s storied coast.
